I am in the process of creating a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity that will benefit families in Iowa. The primary goal is to assist family members (specifically children) of fallen service members. We would also like to support other veterans issues.

The first fundraiser is being held on August 22 at Copper Creek Lake Park in Pleasant Hill called the "Remembrance Run - Honoring Iowa's Fallen."

I wanted to contact you and see if your group would like to help with our project for the 103rd National Guard Unit. We will be making Teddy Bears and Dolls for approximately 350 children of deployed soldiers. We will also be working with about 100 children of soldiers at their holiday party to make cards and scrapbooks to be send to deployed soldiers.
