I recently learned that a Queen Anne home in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, where my family once lived recently went back on the market. During my family's tenure in the home, I always felt it would make a great bed and breakfast due to its close proximity to downtown Mount Pleasant and MacMillan Park (where the town's annual Old Threshers event takes place). A bed and breakfast would do well in that area, as there are NO bed and breakfasts in Mount Pleasant or Henry County as a whole. Refurbishing the Queen Anne home offers a way to fill that void and bring some much needed business back to the community's economy. Unfortunately, the home also needs some cosmetic work done to the main and second floors. Finishing off the attic space and basement would also not only add value to the property but provide additional guest rooms and/or communal areas.

It would be such an asset to the community. The home that Jennifer and her family lived in is has so much charm and so much of it is original.
